A Regulars Take
After a long week of work and life I tend to find myself making the long drive to Ricks Portland.
The Club is right off the highway making access very easy for those of us not based in Portland. The first thing you notice is several bouncers both outside and just in the door of the club. After a quick emptying of pockets and metal detector sweep, you can pay your 10 or 15 bucks cover and you're in. Said bouncers have in my opinion have always been friendly, helpful, and professional. Legit you gotta be a real asshole to get on their bad sides. If you need Singles just ask any of them and they'll take care of you.
The club is fairly loud but not terrible enough that you can't hear other people, as someone who bounces to a lot of clubs its in the mid tier of noise. Overall the club itself is rather clean, you can tell they actual give the building a good amount of attention after everyone leaves.
As you walk in you're immediately greeted by three stages, a large one in the center by the bar, and two smaller ones to either side of the main with one of them in a more VIP section. Someone else said it right, this is a dancers club. The ladies really know how to tear it up and with three stages occupied at once there's a lot to see.
