Good bang for your buck and you get what you pay for
I went to Showcase Theatre in Beltsville, Maryland on a Friday night after midnight. From the outside, the place looks rough and very old school. The building shows its age and the parking lot can feel a little sketchy late at night, especially if you are not familiar with the area. It does not look fancy at all and feels more like a local neighborhood spot than a destination club. Once inside, things felt mostly fine. There was security present and the crowd was calm, so while it was not polished, it did not feel unsafe either.
Inside, the club is small, dark, and basic. The lighting is minimal and the room feels tight, but it works for what the club is trying to be. The music was loud enough to keep energy in the room but not so loud that you could not talk without yelling. The DJ kept things moving and did not overdo it on the microphone. The crowd was mostly locals and regulars, which made the whole place feel more like a neighborhood bar with dancers rather than a high end gentlemen’s club.
There were about six to ten dancers working I remember the DJ calling out Gigi, Kat, and Ashley, though the lineup prob changes depending on the night. Most of the dancers working that night were Latina, with a little variety but not a large or constantly rotating group. The dancers were friendly and approachable and willing to sit and talk. There was some hustling, but it was not aggressive. Stage dances were average, and private dances were better after a few drinks. I would rate the dancers around a six, maybe a seven once alcohol loosened things up.
