Dilapidated Neighborhood Bar in Queens
Was heading back to my Manhattan hotel and noticed this place was on the way -- short subway ride from/into the big city.
Went through the metal detector and got patted down by a burly but friendly bouncer. Paid my cover ($10) to a cute attendant and walked into what looked like a semi-abandoned warehouse. This place is huge, but half of it appeared unused with just boxes on top of tables to the right.
The main action -- if you can call it that -- was straight ahead where there was a large oval bar with a stage in the middle. There were a roughly 15-20 patrons and a dozen dancers or so with a mix of ethnicity and sizes. Nothing more impressive than a 6 or a possible 7.
