love the afternoon girls, but this visit the vibes were off
Place has a lot to recommend it weekend afternoons. High-quality physical space (if a bit weird), nice happy hour specials, sparse but enjoyable afternoon squad. Vibes were off for this particular visit, though.
There's an antechamber as you enter that suggests the presence of a bouncer, but I've never had to deal with one. Sign on the door advertising a two-drink minimum. I've never tried to get around it, but my guess is that if you're spending money in other ways they won't pay too much attention; more on the reasons behind it further on in the review.
Once you get into the main room, you're greeted by a massive rectangular bar. Inside the bar is a stage with two poles and one of those hoola hoop type things in the middle. Sierra (more on her later) explained it to me a bit during my first visit. Not sure what the local tipping practices are; Sierra always seems to get up there about once per visit when she's there, but I've never seen anyone else dance in the afternoons, and she didn't seem to be especially expecting wadded-up bills Pittsburgh-style. Last time there I just tipped her across the bar when she was done.
