Noob at BE!

Just off of a major highway in Los Angeles, Bare Elegance is right next to a gas station/convenience store. There is valet parking, but I chose to park myself. My first surprise was that in addition to a cover charge, there was a parking fee. Whaaaaat?

Once inside, the main bar is to the left. I don’t think the barstools are the right height for the bar. The seats are set much lower than what I’m used to. I grabbed a seat anyway and ordered a non-alcoholic beer. I didn’t want to risk a DUI, considering I’m from the east coast, and I was driving at night in a rented car in an area I’m not familiar with.

I was in LA for the weekend, and a friend who used to dance at a club in my area was now living in LA and working here.
