More hits than misses
It's been quite a while since I'd visited Risque. $15 cover Thursday night at 8pm. Not much has changed about the place save for the Christmas decorations and a banner for their wing pole event.
It's neither a dive nor upscale, a 7 all around in intent and execution. A good number of customers around the bar, about 20 or so. Thursday has an extended happy hour until 9, so my Captain & Gingers were $4 each. There was only one bartender until 9, so while she was constantly on the move, she had three sides of a bar to cover.
Risque before 10 has a very chill, almost lazy, vibe. There were about a dozen dancers when I first got there. After 9 the number of dancers easily was more than twenty. The dancers are overall attractive, more so than others in the area, less sloppy as well (some clubs seem to take anybody willing to pay the house fee). More hits than misses as far as eye candy goes. Hard to say that about most clubs these days. Girls skewed white or Latina and slender or fit, but there were a couple of thicker girls too. All of the girls were either native English speakers or were fluent enough to have some back and forth during the tip parade around the bar.
