First Time Visit at The Lumberyard as a Newbie
This was my first time visiting a strip club, so I arrived at 11 and sat toward the back to get a feel for the place. The club felt clean and organized, with dim lighting that matched the vibe without feeling sketchy. The main stage was directly in front of my seat, which made it easy to see the performances, and there were two additional stages below arranged like a pit area. Music was loud and steady, driven by a DJ who kept the energy up without it becoming "overwhelming." Security was visible but low key, and I felt safe and comfortable the entire night.
Â
The dancers were attractive and varied, and most were nude and focused on stage performances and floor interaction. There was a clear system in place where tipping at least two dollars during stage dances got you personal attention, which made it easy for a first timer to understand how things worked. The dancers were friendly and welcoming, and none of the interactions felt rushed or aggressive. I was told that touching was allowed within limits, and dancers were clear about boundaries upfront. The crowd was small and mostly adult blue collar men, many appearing to be regulars, and the overall mood was relaxed and respectful.

Staffing was straightforward and professional. There were mostly dancers on the floor, a few bouncers watching the room, a DJ controlling the music, and a booth attendant acting as a cashier for dances and private rooms. Everyone I interacted with was polite and helpful, especially when I had questions as someone new. No one was pushy for dances. One dancer (younger 20's) in particular took time to explain club etiquette and what to expect, which made a big difference in how comfortable I felt. That welcoming attitude was a major reason the experience was enjoyable.
