There are a lot of clubs...
There are a lot of clubs right along Bourbon, and this is one of the weaker ones. They have black dudes wearing red-and-black country-western outfits working as waiters and doormen, I found that offputting. And they fling beads at innocent passers-by from their balcony in a violent display of "look at me I really am partying woo hoo because my boss said I had to say woo hoo really loud so WOO fucking hoo." It's annoying to a local, but I guess if you're an out-of-towner you'd find this silly little ritual to be enjoyable as a novelty. The girls are average, for a French Quarter club, in the mid-range relative to (for example) Penthouse or DV's sister clubs LF's Hustler, LF's Li'l Darlins, and LF's Barley Legal. DV purports to offer a "party" atmosphere relative to the other three owned by Mr. Flynt, but that doesn't really distinguish it from any other strip club. I don't see what the hoo-hah is all about. Contact is low, and carefully observed by bouncers, and girls are not the top-tier of all the NO clubs, so it's not (IMO) worth a visit unless you're sampling a variety. Don't miss Penthouse around the corner, or Hustler straight across the street. Shift change is kind of funny, some girls just sprint in their skivvies across Bourbon, so they're from among the same harem of workers just doing shifts at different clubs. Better girls from that harem at Barely Legal; good girls from outside that harem at Penthouse. I rate this a 6.5 or as low as 6 by national standards (though the amenities are nice, the girls and contact are not very high), or a 7.5 by New Orleans standards.
