The Historic Ebony Inn

Went to the Ebony Inn on a slow Monday. Parking is $10 an across the street in a church lot. There is a patdown to enter and a $20 cover.

Let me say off the bat that Iove hole in the wall spots. Fancy places just do not do it for me. This place is great in that respect. There are the regulars who know each other, but newbies do not feel out of place.

Walking in is the great room with a pool table straight ahead followed by bathrooms on the back wall and the bar that runs the length on the right side. Drinks are moderately priced, but don't expect all kinds of fancy drinks. Also some of the better drinks are watered down. The bar features 2 tvs that usually play sports. The staff can be nice, but also can be surly at times. The bathroom is... not good. But I do not come here for the bathroom.
