Monday Funday again.

Back to Clancy‘s again this time on a Monday afternoon. I’m starting to feel like a regular here. I’ve put it in my rotation to go at least once if not twice a week, I’ve reviewed this place a number of times as have others, but here are the specifics. It’s located in Bloomfield New Jersey on a relatively Main Street in a residential neighborhood. The club is attached to a liquor store with really no sign and only marked by the red door that you enter on the corner. Parking is usually easy, especially during the daytime and I found a spot right on the street in front. I always feel a little awkward with the houses and people living there watching me go in but who cares.

The inside is nothing special - a small bar split by a small stage with some standing room behind it and some couches towards the back. I always find the bartenders to be nice and helpful here. I arrived on a Monday afternoon about 2 PM as I didn’t have any work that day. The place was pretty empty maybe three other people sitting at the bar having some drinks. I’ve mixed up the times I come here sometimes daytime sometimes night. My advice is not to come right when they open as the girls usually arrive a little later so I came at 2 PM. I easily found a seat at the bar got a beer for $6.

The girls are pretty relaxed here and there’s one or two on stage at a time and the rest either sitting with regulars or coming around the bar for tips. I’ve never seen an American girl here and pretty much everyone that dances is Spanish. Today was no different. I counted seven girls that I saw when I came in. One of them was on stage 2 of them were sitting, watching their phones and the rest were making conversation and getting tips. I got some singles and started to make some conversation with the girls that came around. There’s a board with their names, but I never pay attention to it. Today I recognized the girl that I’ve seen a couple of times and she came right over to me.
