Playing at the Doll House

I was in Jacksonville for a football game and had heard mixed opinions about the local nightlife. With a free Saturday evening, I decided to stop by the Doll House around 8 p.m which was right around the corner from my hotel. The interior was dimly lit, creating a moody, almost secretive atmosphere.

I paid the $10 cover charge and headed to the bar. The bartender who was probably in her mid 40s greeted me, and I grabbed a bottle of water with a cup of ice..

The club was dead at that hour — with 4 dancers and no ther patrons. None of the dancers really caught my eye and noone was performing on stage. So I grabbed a seet.
