OK, I had heard that this is the top club in the country, so I had to check it out. Plus, as a pilot, I liked the name. Now, I have to tell you that I've been in most of the other top rated clubs (Mons, BabyDolls Dallas, O'farrels SF, etc). Is Flight club better than these? Based on my experiences, yes! I went two times last week during a trip. The dancers were very lovely and the club is nice. Yes, the experience went beyond anything in Tampa or Dallas--all I can say is amazing! Still, the overall "clip joint" atmosphere, where everything costs money, and everything is expensive, is annoying. To the club owners -- guys, I'm not leaving with any money. Lighten up! $5 valet, $10 cover, $2 coat check girl (it was very cold), $20 booth fee (which I don't understand), $7.25 for a coke (I'm a pilot, I can't drink on a work night). Dances $25. Downstairs VIP room is just fine, get a chair in front of the stage and avoid the booths -- you won't miss anything. Liked the decor and the lighting - one club where you can see. To any serious club goer, you have to go here, at least once. I'll be trying other clubs in detroit before I go back.
