Dead and overpriced

Been a while since I've been to the Rhino in Minneapolis. Dropped by on Halloween, a friday night, just to give it another shot. Bad call. Only about 8pm, but there were only three dancers in, and only two or three customers. The three dancers were great looking, so I gave one a shot to see how things were these days.

Man, the prices have gone up. Dancer quoted me $40 per song for regular floor dances, and this is in a club in Minneapolis where the floor dance mileage is never great. 3/$100, still not a great deal. Quoted $300 for 15 minutes in the vip area, downstairs is $600 for 30 minutes plus you have to buy a $400 bottle. $1000/hr plus the bottle. Yeah, no thanks. I did a couple dances with her, a beautiful slender latina whose name I can't recall. She may as well have had a neon flashing sign saying "hustler." Numerous upsell attempts, vague hints about "more fun" in the back that are entirely transparent. A laughable claim of possible take out "after the champagne room."

Not much else to say about it. Club is the same as always, a narrow area that used to feel crowded on a friday night. There's a smaller, secondary stage immediately after entering that was obviously not in use this evening. Amusingly, the manager was telling me which areas I could and could not sit in as I entered. Oh, those tables are off limits? Reserved for VIPs? There's nobody here! This club was never my favorite, but with the price hikes and how dead things seem, I don't think I'm coming back. Would love recommendations for something, ANYTHING decent in the Minneapolis area these days.
