Recently Not So Pleasant...

If I have to provide a physical description, here it goes. It's a decent-sized space on the corner in an industrial part of town. There's plenty of parking all around the bar. When you walk in you have to go thru a metal detector and get patted down. There are 2 levels in the bar. Level 1 has a long U-shaped bar. The restroom and ATM are along the wall opposite the front door & beyond that is a door to an outside area where you can go smoke. There's also a door that leads downstairs where the women's dressing room is. Level 2 has a medium-sized stage, a juke box, 2 pool tables and the VIP rooms. They've done some renovations so right after the pool tables there's now a wall with a door leading to the VIP area which has 3 closet-sized rooms w/ just a chair. There's also 1 bigger VIP room w/ 2 chairs. I heard that they put up the wall & door after a raid. Drinks are $7-8 for beers & $5 for water. There's no dollar parade & tipping is completely optional. Like most high-mileage spots in the Northeast w/ FOB Latinas, the whole point of this spot is the VIP action.

I've only been 1 time since the renovation and the vibe is different, meaning worse. There were much fewer patrons on a Sat night & slightly less dancers, but the key is that the quality is significantly lower. AAMOF, I've noticed the quality slidin down over my last few visits. This place isn't attracting the same level of talent from NYC like it used to. There's always options there, but I'm noticing a lot of familiar faces that are not enticing and new dancers that just don't move the needle (at least for me).

Having said all that, PM is still a must-visit spot when you consider what else is out there in the Tri-State! It's just that if the recent trend continues, I would recommend checking it out like 1/month or every other month only.
