sinclair's Review

I went to the Bottoms Up Lounge at 00:15 on a Friday night. There was no cover charge to enter. The bar is along the front wall to the left as you enter. The stage is a runway that comes off the back wall. It has an upper level in the back and a lower level in the front. There are four poles. Private dances take place in an area on the right that is slightly elevated from the rest of the club. There are three couches that face each other. A DJ booth is on the left wall. Televisions would show the music videos for the songs being played about half of the time. The clientele was mostly Latino, some of whom didn’t speak any English. Sincweisers were $6.75. The ATM only allows a maximum withdrawal of $100 per transaction. Each swipe has a $5 fee.

There were only five dancers working. Three of the dancers were older Cubans. The two other dancers were Caucasian; one was rail thin, while the other was a BBW. Dancers do two song sets on stage. Some of the dancers wouldn’t even take their tops off to show their boobs while on stage. Lap dances are $25 per song. There is almost no privacy, but you could touch the dancers. The manager would peek into the couched area every song presumably to know how much to tax each dancer when she was done giving lap dances.
