Golden Horseshoe is about five minutes from Hollywood Casino, a convenient trip if you just got out of a show or lost your social security check on slots. I drove by once when it was closed and missed it, as it's kind of an unassuming building with a small sign. When it is open there are bright and colored lights. There's not a lot else in the immediate area, just a small car dealer and moose lodge.
$20 cover, ID check but no scan, $6-7 nonalcoholic drinks. The interior is a wooden bar with a stage/rail and pit for lack of a better term. It feels haphazard, like they had a space and over the years added what they thought they needed without any overall plan. It's a little cramped though this was probably their busiest day of the week. The bathroom was small and clean.
This was a Friday night so I expected the A-team of girls to be there. There were about 15 girls, mostly white with 3-4 blacks and a couple of hispanics. While my expectations were not high, a few of the girls were pretty cute, in the 4-7 range. The blonde bartender pulled this Clark Kent/Superman trick where she was unassuming behind the bar, then to my surprise she went on stage and showed off a great rack. The girls mostly went topless though one or two flashed pussy. I was approached 2-3 times by so-so lookers and demurred.
Diana, a skinny black/mixed girl, had some nice 34Bs so I asked for a private dance. You go to the desk at the entrance and pay for dances ahead of time. $40/dance with a free dance after every 5. (The girls get half of this, which seems a little low.) They give you a little ticket with the dancer's name and the number of dances. Then you walk down a small hallway where you wait for the bouncer to let you into a small room with several chairs. It's not very private and there are cameras. But it was never very full so privacy wasn't a big deal. Gave the bouncer the ticket and sat for my 3 minute dance. Diana was low contact and I cut my losses.
Two girls approached, a young skinny brunette and a 30ish older dark haired white girl. Both of them were fairly hot for this club (6.5, a generous 7). They said they were sisters, did doubles where they "played together" and offered to go back at 20 minutes for $200 each. Gentle reader, this is where my experience saved me. Doubles are almost never worth it, and the girls who try to push you into it are generally lousy dance partners. I wrote them both off after this stunt. Had they been patient and approached individually I probably would have gotten dances, but a $400 ask sixty seconds after we met? No.
Final dancer was Betty, a 30 something hispanic 6. She was pretty drunk and very friendly. We had a long conversation with some unexpected genuine connection. I paid for one dance, and to my surprise she gave the best dance I've ever had in West Virginia. It wasn't extras, but some of you LDKers might enjoy her. I bought some more dances from her, then left after midnight.
