CLNJ Revisited

Over a year ago, a wrote a review about CLNJ entitled: “Try as I Might, I Juust Can’t Like This Place”. I’ve been here quite a few times since, and now consider that judgment to be a bit too harsh. In terms of its physical plant, talent quality, and overall vibe, CLNJ doesn’t hold a cancel to its stepsister namesake 15-20 minutes and a $6 bridge toll way in Phila, or any of the other mainstream Phila clubs, but it has its positive aspects. Specifically, at least during the dayshift (none of my visits were after 8 pm, and several were actually early to mid-afternoon), there’s a decent, although by no means guaranteed, shot at extras, up to and including FS, with a mid-level dancer at a reasonable, but not bargain-basement price point.

Club is on US 130 North in Gloucester City, just off the 130N exit ramp on the Walt Whitman Bridge. The road curves there, so keep an eye out for the Bottle Stop liquor store. If headed southbound on 130, you’ll see the club on the left, and there’s a protected left turn at a light just past the club.
