Anyone who knows me or who has read my previous review of this club, knows that for some depraved reason I love to start or end (sometimes even both) my weekend nights here at CB whenever I’m in Dallas. So of course, this past Friday was no different. Sadly, my experience was one that I won’t soon forget, and I’m now certain that the amazing times I’ve had here are over.

The location, along with the club appearance, environment, and vibe are unchanged from my previous review; unchanged over the last few years, really. Located right off of Harry Hines, you'll want to be careful not to pass the turn, as (especially late-night) it can be easily missed; look for the black, metal fence with an open gate. You'll pull into a packed (always seems to be the case on weekends after midnight), beat-up, somewhat seedy-looking parking lot. Weekend late-nights have 2-3 lot attendants (not valets; none here) that will collect your $10 parking fee; if you want to park in front/by the club, it's $20. I highly recommend the second option, as then your vehicle will always be watched by one of the attendants, and I've found it's much easier to get out of the packed lot at closing time (2am every day; the 4am listed within the header/details on this site is incorrect). The seedy exterior is on-par with the interior, but don't let that throw you off, as in all the times I've been here I've never felt too unsafe. Just keep your wits about you, and you'll be more than fine.

Once parked, head towards to the overhang, as this is where you'll find both the entrance and smoking area (non-smoking inside, although vaping is allowed). Security will give you a pat-down. If party favors are your thing, know that they could not care less if you have them on you; they're only looking for weapons and outside alcohol. Similarly, a dress code is ultimately non-existent here, as I've never seen or heard of someone being turned away based on appearance. After security searches you, to your immediate left will be a counter with a woman behind it to collect your cover (late-night seems to fluctuate for unknown reasons; between $15-$17) and put a mandatory wristband on you. After that, you'll proceed through the two worse-for-wear doors into the club.
