Monday is usually a fairly slow night for most of the cafés in the area, with many spots feeling half asleep. Cafe 168, though, has a different energy—it’s one of the few places that still draws a good crowd. The moment you walk in, the air feels charged. The music is upbeat, bass-heavy, and perfectly in line with my taste, almost daring you to settle in and let the night carry you.

The servers are a lively mix of Asian and Mexican staff, each with their own style. Some move with playful charm, flashing quick smiles that linger a second too long, while others keep it professional but can’t quite hide that subtle, teasing edge in their tone. Regulars definitely get more attention, with servers leaning in closer, laughing a little louder, and keeping their tea cups topped off with a purpose. That kind of familiarity creates a buzz in the room—like everyone’s in on a private game.

By the weekend, the whole place turns electric, with tables crowded and voices raised over the music. The lighting is dim enough to blur the edges of the room. The atmosphere has a way of pulling people closer—strangers and groups lingering longer than planned, and the occasional flirtation sparking across tables. It’s not hard to see why so many keep coming back: Cafe 168 is more than just tea and music—it’s a place where you feel a little more alive day or night, and the line between casual fun and something more tempting is always just within reach. It’s a must go if you in the area.
