In Houston on a Saturday night two weeks back, I decided I had to check out the legendary Treasures. I arrived at around 8:30pm and stayed to about 11:00pm. You have a choice of valet parking (I didn’t determine the fee) or taking a chance finding a space in the parking lot slums. There were still a handful of vacant slots in the self-park area when I left, but I expect there are times when valet is the only choice left. Admission was $10 and you have to pass through a magnetometer. Although I beeped, the girl taking the money didn’t seem to care. The interior is fairly upscale, with elaborate stage lighting and what must be a smoke machine. Music is an assortment of contemporary and older rock. The music was not too loud, the songs were not cut short and the DJ was not obnoxious. I actually found myself enjoying the music, which is rare. There are two bars, two stages, and two big areas where dances are offered.

I didn’t see too many women circulating on the floor during the first hour or so, but more and more showed up as the night wore on, and in fact, dancers were still arriving when I left at 11. Almost all the women working here were quite hot, with just one or two semi-fuglies. Dances can be had anywhere you sit, but better privacy is found in the very dark periphery of the club, behind densely packed chairs. My dances were $20 each, and consisted of typical two-way contact, but none of my dancers offered any naughty extras. I guess the raid toned things down, but it’s easy to see how a willing dancer could have gotten away with quite a bit in the dark private corners of the room.

The bathroom has a bathroom elf, and wasn’t terribly clean.
