Hopeful Success
It was my first time to the new Follies, and I tried to temper my expectations and hopes of the place being a return of the glory days of the old Follies. It was $5 to park (can pay $10 for a spot up front on the pavement), and $5 to get in. As soon as I walked in I was surprised to see that there were only 4 or 5 customers at 4 PM. It is surprisingly small with the bad taking up the far side of the room, and one small stage up front. The old school benches from the old Follies have been upgrade to nicer benches from the opposite side of the stage. The entrance to this bench area was roped off, so I assume you have to pay to sit there. Everything inside looked nice, but it just seemed so small. Not sure how this place will be if it gets popular. Might be impossible to flag down a girl, and even tougher to find space for a dance. Hmmmm, maybe the old school stand on the wall dances from Follies of old???
There were about 10 girls working with about 50/50 white/AA. Surprisingly no Hispanic girls. There was one hot brunette spinner, but she was tied up with another guy, and also spent much of the time in the back, so could not get a dance from her. Instead I received dances from 3 different girls. 1 AA and 2 white. Unfortunately the dances were way tamer than old follies, and current Vivide. Only one of the girls stick shifted, and that was fairly minimal. Hopefully I just picked the wrong girls.
Next time hopefully I’ll be able to check out the one girl I missed.
