Stumbled into a Hoedown! ( yes, I spelled it correctly...) at Vics! Yee-Haw!

Two weeks ago on a Friday around 4 pm I had an airport run and on the way back I thought I'd check out Vic's, since I never get up that way usually. I couldn't have been more surprised when I walked in, because I'm used to the afternoons being dead quiet.

I actually heard the party before I got thru the 2nd door. Stopped to pay the 10er door fee and then looked around. The place was all decorated in western style, I smelled BBQ, and there was a huge poster saying it was Slim's Birthday Hoedown! Because of the party I think more than the usual crowd of dancers where there, and some had friends who were dancer-adjacent and hanging out but not dancing. The civilians were fun to talk to, as they just hung out while their friends were either in the middle of the bar on the stage or sitting with friends, old and new.

There was still the vibe where a dancer will walk up to you, turn around, and back into you as a way of introduction. I dunno, doesn't do it for me, but there were the expected number of dancers twerking in pl's laps while facing away, sometimes having a conversation with another dancer who is likewise occupied but in the opposite direction, leaving the girls nearly face down in the stool between them chatting away, lol.
