Visited: Thursday Evening

Alright, so this is the second club that I went to in my triumphant return to clubbing. My first stop was BTs (review already posted); pulled the ripcord on that one after 90 minutes and went here looking to salvage the evening. This visit to FC took place only a few days ago -- no recycled hazy memory of an SC visit from months ago here.

Back when I was clubbing a lot more (pre-pandemic), FC was my go-to place. I logged onto TUSCL for the first time in years and checked out the Detroit area reviews. The last review for FC before mine was ... over a month ago? What is going on here? Have people just stopped going to clubs? Or is TUSCL dying out? In the old days there would be a new review on FC like every two days. Founder, please help!

So I am going to update you mongers on FC, and do my little part in getting this going again. Here is my contribution: The basics -- $20 cover at night, no cover in the day. I got there at about 7:15PM and was not charged a cover. Yay! Not many aspects of FC are cheap, but at least there is that. Beer at the bar was $10. Well gin & tonic $15. A dancer sat with me and ordered a couple of fancy tequila drinks for us -- $25 apiece. I was kicking myself, except that she paid for them. Yes, I know no one believes that, but she did. (Chivalry isn't dead -- I thanked her for the sentiment and reimbursed her. Yes, I know that no one is believing this anymore, but i swear on my lightly used 1989 erika eleniak cover playboy magazine that this actually happened.) There is a bathroom troll, but if the prospect of kicking out a dollar each time you take a leak is relevant to your determination of whether or not to go to a club, then FC is not gonna be the right place for you. Club itself is nice -- two levels, with bars on both levels. $20 for a booth (which i never do - not so much for the money, but because i like to move around and don't like being stuck in a booth). Free to sit at either bar. I like the bar on the second floor, though if you want to tip a girl on stage (a helpful shortcut to getting her to go over to you quickly after her set), you have to schlep down the stairs to do it. If you drive a car here valet is mandatory and $10. I uber'd here tonight, but have valeted in the past and have never had a problem with it.
