The Last Time???

Have not been to the Raven since early winter and have only been back a few times since the re-opening several years ago. The place itself is actually very nice (compared to what it used to be). It also appears, the newer owners are really trying to make this place work... updated interior, several promotions for both drinks, live bands, themed nights etc. The issue is this place, along with the now long closed Ballpark Tavern in Levittown, were known to be high mileage clubs with large menus at decent prices. That is no longer the case. Limited options for dancers and no menu. I stopped in mid-afternoon and there were maybe 4 other customers with about 5 dancers. Bartender was friendly and attentive and they run a promo on Thursdays that domestic drafts are only $3 which is great for a strip club. Grabbed a Yuengling and the dancer on stage looked good, late 20's, decent tits and a small wet spot on the crotch of her g string. That is where the positives ended for me. The next 3 dancers were a mix of one black, white and latino heavyweights. Not my thing but since the beers were half priced, I decided to order a third and see if it got any better. It didn't. I tried striking up a conversation with the guy next to me to get some intel since it was obvious he was a regular and he was totally clueless to how the club used to be and the fun that could be had. I am guessing most if not all the previous customers from yesteryear have long abandoned any hope of this place returning to it's former self. I finished my beer, tipped the friendly bartender (who had great tits) a few more dollars and walked out wondering if this would be the last time I ever would visit the Dirty Bird.
