No Dreams on a Tuesday Night

Went to Dreams on a Tuesday night when I was passing through El Paso. First thing you notice is the location. You’re kind of in an open dead spot along I-10 in an industrial area away from the main developed areas. The building is also huge. When you walk in after checking in ($20 cover on a Tuesday was a bit of a rip off) the room is massive. Only a few small stages and chairs scattered about. It reminded me of a high school gym that was moonlighting at a strip club.

Inside that cavernous room, the place was dead. There was 1 other guy in a far corner and there weren’t any girls bothering to dance to an empty room. Even for a Tuesday, I expected it to be more lively at 11 PM. What proceeded was a 1 by 1 stream of girls coming out of the back to sit and chat with me and try their luck. Nobody offered any extras and everything was above board in that regard. Consistent offers of 60-80 for three songs in the semi private area upstairs (which was private this night since I was 1 of 2 patrons). Took a few up just to see if things might progress and never really got anywhere. Upstairs area that I saw was just a mix of couches spread across a darkened corner.

Girls I saw were a mix of Latina and white. All were decently attractive and fit, but no one I saw would rate above an 8. Friendly and chill befitting the dead room. After a couple of rounds upstairs, I mainly got bored with the place and went back to my hotel. It wasn’t an atrocious experience by any means and I would give Dreams a chance, but I’d much rather see it with a more lively weekend crowd that makes it feel like a scene. If I’m back for a weeknight again, I probably would try another venue. Didn’t sample any drinks at the bar to see how expensive they are cause I was driving myself, but I’m sure they were fine. Whole place seemed reasonable outside the cover.
