I travel all over the country and always find the clubs around LA to be so much different. It's really too bad some club owner can't duplicate one of the finer gentlemen's clubs in Miami, Vegas, Dallas or Houston and open it up in LA.

4 Play is by all accounts average on the inside. Nothing fancy but certainly not a hole in the wall. The bathrooms were very clean. It has one main stage, a very small side stage, 2 private dance rooms downstairs and an upstairs for your higher mileage dances. There is no alcohol or smoking, so I was not able to unwind with a cocktail and fine cigar like I often enjoy. Instead you pay $6.50 for a bottle of water and have to go outside if you want to smoke (you'll often see dancers get dressed and go out the front for a cigarette). I paid $20 for a booth downstairs to keep as my home base all night, as you can easily lose your table when leave to get some dances.

As for the dancers, the talent was pretty good, mostly 5-8's. I was there on a Friday night and did not see anyone that blew me away. I was somewhat expecting some gorgeous, aspiring actresses but they probably work in Vegas on the weekends. I learned that the club limits the number of dancers per night to no more than 35.
