Research project
Looking for a new place to explore, I used TUSCL to find the closest club to me that fit several criteria. The club needed to be a nude club, one I had never visited before, one with a minimum of ten dancers scheduled, and one with a high dancer rating. After applying these criteria, Pink Poodle topped the list. A quick word here on TUSCL search capability. The web site does allow searches by people score, which is helpful, but wouldn’t it be great if we could also filter by type of club and average number of dancers working? Knowing the site’s database has this information, I’ve contracted the founder of this website in the past requesting these search features. He did reply to say “updates are coming,” but the latest version does not include these capabilities. Maybe if more of us asked for these features, they would be added? Let your voices be heard.
After the 45 minute drive to San Jose, I arrived at Pink Poodle. It is on a major road and easy to find. But I was too late to find a parking spot in their lot. After driving around a bit, I found a spot across the street. I believe the entry fee was $20, but I was given a free pass after showing my military ID. I purchased a $5 water and found a seat. This club has a juice bar, but no alcoholic beverages.
The club is in a one-story commercial building and is dominated by an L-shaped stage in the middle of the space. The stage is about eye height when seated and surrounded by comfortable leather seats. Bench seating is located around perimeter of the club, and these seats are thoughtfully raised a bit for better viewing. For a small club, it holds a large number of people; I estimated about 25 patrons, 12 girls and 5 staff on the Saturday night I visited and there was room for at least another 20 visitors. The main stage has two poles and is edged by a railing that is about 6 inches above the stage. This is one of the darkest strip clubs I’ve ever encountered, and it occurred to me that the edge railing may be there to keep girls from falling off the stage in the dark. It is more likely there as a required barrier between dancer and patron, but many of the dancers were straddling this bar as part of their performances. One girl even used the bar to balance as she did naked leg splits. Very creative. There is second, smaller stage with a single pole and curtains for private shows, but I was told the dances there are only topless with no contact.
