I used to make the trek to 38th and 11th Avenue regularly to visit this place. It became the vestige of pop up strip clubs like Lido Lounge and Saint Venus Theatre. There were hot educated young GND types well dressed and highly conversational in a luxury lounge atmosphere. For those that don't know, these format clubs are not typical strip clubs, but clubs where girls circulate in nightgowns or dresses, and then do moderately tame topless dances in side rooms with lounger chairs or couches. Rosewood, which operates under Die Happy Tonight, took over this format after Lido restructured and SVT is long gone. There are some other pop ups in NYC, but by operating out of an actual licensed club Rosewood / DHT seems to stick around and not get raided or shutdown. Rosewood is also a beautiful space.

Long story short, unlike traditional strip clubs, the girls tended to be professionals or college students looking to make extra money without being considered "strippers." More upscale NYC professionals appreciated the quality girls and quality environment. Rosewood is actually where they filmed the opening scenes of "Anora." So if you want to see that, get the $100 wristband for the chairs in the back room behind the stage where the camera pans.

The quality and quantity here used to be very high with many 7s,8s, and 9s largely inflated by how they dressed, conversation and overall demeanor. On the night I went, quality was noticeably down, more girls were akin to regular strippers, and quality was in the 5 to 7 range. One of my 8s did show up later in the evening, but I didn't stick around for her as explained next.
