A meh Sunday Afternoon

Despite past reviews I decided to give Gallagher’s a shot on a late Sunday afternoon since I happened to be in the area. I came in around 5 and there was nobody in front so I just walked straight in. The layout of the place was as others have described. One large bar area to the left where most of the action takes place and an otherwise empty space with random stuff being stored on a big stage. I didn’t have to pay a cover, which probably should have been a signal.

I sat down at the bar where there was one other patron. I ordered a bud light from the bartender (not very attractive) for $10. A little cheaper than average NYC prices and it was ice cold, which I appreciated on a hot day.

There were a few dancers sitting around and occasionally getting up on stage to do some lackluster dancing. You’re expected to throw each dancer a couple bucks after they finish their turn, which is fine. Everyone is trying to make a living. Prices for dances are $30 for a lap dance upstairs, $100 for 15 minutes in a small private room with a curtain or $200 for 30 minutes in a separate area.
