Dive, but not dead
Walked in just before a super thunderstorm. For maybe 10 minutes it was gale force winds and a downpour. Jukebox was playing music in the corner, not too loud. One dancer was talking to a guy, one other customer was there alone scrolling his phone, and me. Lightning hits the building (i think) and the juke box makes a popping sound and goes silent.
The lights stay on though, and as many have mentioned there are TVs hanging from the ceiling but they're off. The barmaid brings me a bottle of Yuengling, 7 bucks. (!)
Out of the womens bathroom walks a mid 50s bleach blond white lady and she sits next to me. "Talia". We're talking so I offer her a drink. "Tequila", 10 bucks. I use quotes bc I suspect it was just club soda but whatever. I know the hustle and I'm here for it as long as there's a good time in it somewhere.
