A literal Oasis on a dry night

This was my first time visiting Oasis. I stopped by around 9:00 on a Saturday. I ended up here after not experiencing much luck at the Purple Orchid or Dream Boutique down the street. On a whim, I decided to give this place a try. Plus I needed my itch scratched.

The club is located in south Philly, about a mile or two from 76. It’s a safe neighborhood, but I wouldn’t exactly call it nice. It is in an industrial area. The parking lot is well-lit and closed off from the road by a small wall. I’d say about 25 cars can park in the front. I think there is space in the back as well.

You enter into a small lobby-like room and pay a $10 cover and go through a metal detector. The main bar area is quite big especially when compared to the Purple Orchid. And while the standard is low, the place was nicer than the PO too. There is a large bar the can seat about 50 people which surrounds 2 stages which oddly are separated by support column. Along the side of the room are booths and in the back are some high top tables. Of the two bartenders working, I thought the asian one was quite hot - I wished she got up on stage.
