MBOT by far the most interesting...

MBOT by far the most interesting club in San Francisco. The history of the place is fascinating, filled with stories of excess, sex, drugs and murder. But aside from all that it is the only club San Francisco that makes me count the days until I can return.

Prices have gone up recently at the club so now the cover charge is $40 except at 11:30am-12:30pm Mon-Sat, 5:00pm-6:00pm Mon-Sat and 5:30pm-6:30pm Sunday when it's $15 to get in. I found the staff to be very nice and non-intrusive. There are bouncers hanging around but you rarely hear a thing from them. There's an old lady sitting behind the snack bar who I'm sure has seen it all. Not too friendly though. After you pay the cover walk over to the room with the stage and three rows of seating on three sides. This is the New York Live Room. Every room has a name in this place. There's also the Cabana Room which is right next door, the Green Door (lesbian show), Kopenhagen (flashlight room) and Ultra Room (peep show). Every so often the DJ will announce that such and such room is open, the girls who are in the room do a little dance on the main stage and you have the choice of getting out of your seat and moving to the special show room. The shows themselves are okay but the girls will come and visit you in your booth afterwards for some private dances. That's where the fun begins.

If you find a dancer you want to hook up with, start negotiating. If your in a special show room just ask for what you want. The booths are small so there's not a lot of room to negotiate. If you're in the stage area, introduce yourself, ask for a lap dance in the Cabana Room. This will probably be either a semi-nude or non-nude lapper and will cost you around $20-40. Remember, you're still in negotiating mode so the girl will probably ask if you're interested in getting a private room. Sometimes they have a set price, sometime you have to tell you them what you want and make an offer. Every girl is different both in terms of cost and what they're willing to do. Get the right gal and you can end up a happy camper. Oh and factor in the private room rental price which is $20 per 10 minute session. It's a walled off 6'x6' with a curtain and a machine where you slide your sawbuck so the light outside goes "occupied".
