So, I've been to Ebony Inn twice this year; both on Fridays around midnight--once in early February spending $200 (between 2 dancers) and again in late April spending $200 (spent between 4 dancers).

Been going to Eb for close to 2 decades? Always gotta love it. So, you can park across the street or nextdoor--for a price, I think $10, if you want to; but I'm old-school, I been going to Eb forever, I remember when parking all around Eb was absolutely free; where paying to park is something that's been added in the past few years. I park in the residential areas a block past the club. There's free parking there. Bewarned: you'll want to hug the sidewalks as you walk from the residential areas to the club, naturally. Try to walk in the middle of the street. There are occasionally single rats sometimes roaming in that area--Neighbors naturally leave trash in cans on the curbs. If you walk on the sidewalks, you could scare a rat hiding in the dark on the curb and scare yourself silly. So, I prefer to walk in the street, not in the dark of sidewalks. So I can see a rat darting around. I've only seen 1 rat so far while parking there but that was enough, saw it run from the sidewalk, across the street to the other side and all I could think of is: glad I wasn't walking on the sidewalk that would've scared me.

Ok, so last I was at Eb was in late April. For the first time I see they got a booth inside on the wall like you're getting a ticket for the movie where you can pay! And give you a wrist-band for some reason. It's gonna be on your right. Ok, so if you never been or haven't been recently, when you go to Eb, there's usually the same big guy sitting just inside the entrance, randomly and he'll take your cover charge of $20; he'll be sitting inside to your left on a simple folding chair for hours, all night. He won't pat you down, he'll just take your cover charge. Hadn't ever thought about it in all these years, but even though he's a big guy, any random dudes can pull up with guns and he's totally unprotected right there at the opening entrance collecting your money--he has everyone's cover charge money, right there inside the club, with no protection. They been like this for years and years since I've known them, they used to sit a li'l farther back in the entrance sometimes, now they're closer to the entrance, but totally unprotected, anyone can just come to the entrance with weapons and demand all that money. I'm not wishing that so please don't get ideas. But looks like now they got a makeshift window booth to the right to accept your cover charge the way most strip clubs kinda always do, or been had one. It was a nice change to see and I feel more safety is given to the staff by the door collecting funds.
