Losing it's charm
168 is one of the bigger cafes. Think 3-4 times of a coffee shop. It's a big rectangle with table and chairs. There's some booth seating on the back wall and side wall with the cash register. If you've eaten at a old Vietnamese restaurant, just imagine repurposing the restaurant into a Viet cafe. There are a bunch of TVs on the walls so you can catch whatever game or ESPN is on but when they tend to keep the lights bright, be prepared to make unconformable eye contact with other folks because you be looking at their direction for the TV above them. I don't know why they don't keep the light dims all the time.
There's no entry fee compared to a Strip Club but that is offset by second hand smoke. You will come out smelling like cigs. Even if you get the tables closer to the front door, they keep the doors open, you'll still smell like cigs. No dress codes. You can even go there in shorts and sandals. That's a win over the Strip club. Drinks are the same. Non-alcoholic, roughly $10 for some coffee, smoothie or soda. Only one drink is needed for your visit.
When you get a table, you also get a cup of tea. It's basically water. super water down tea. The girls will do "rounds" and go to each table to refill tea. You don't have to drink your tea. They will still come to your table. It depends on the girl, but these rounds used to be mainly nude. It's now mostly topless. You tip the girls when they do the rounds. You tip what you want... Like a tip rail, you tip more if you like the girl, want her to come back or if you like to cop a feel. The past couple visits, including this trip, were not that great. The girls were just tip collecting in their rounds. No interaction, no smile, nothing. If I'm not getting any interaction, I rather be at the stage of a strip club. At least I'm tipping towards a nude show.
