Friday Night at DV8

The parking at DV8 is surprisingly full, but there is plenty of street parking adjacent. Friday night made it about 3/4 full in the club, but I was always able to locate a table on my own without any hassle. I would say there were about 25 patrons at the club at 9pm. The bartenders walk the floor and make sure people have what they want, but there is no pressure to go and tip unless you are sitting at the stage.

DV8 has two stages; one larger main stage with seating for about 15, and a smaller side stage with about 10 seats. The smaller stage is not used every night, but it was the Friday I was there. People come and go from the stages in pretty in pretty dramatic numbers at times; 1 dancer will get a crowd going, and then suddenly after that set the next dancer is at an empty stage. Some of the dancers clearly have regular patrons who just come and hang out for a bit, not necessarily there to get a dance for the evening. A lot of the dancers were quite good on the pole! Others were a bit more engaging with the people at the stage, oftentimes straddling customers who put down enough 1s for a little tickle. Others were still a bit more standoffish, and they generally had low crowds at the stage. Despite that, the vibes were good! It's definitely a nice neighborhood joint.

Drinks are pretty standard for PDX; I paid 5 bucks for a miller high life. You can also order some steak there, and I saw a man get a large sizzling hot piece of beef delivered from the kitchen.
