Win some, lose some
Centerfolds is one of the few clubs in the area that is open on Monday afternoon. Consequently I arrived about 4 PM Monday to find a surprisingly full parking lot. The club is open 7 days a week, starting at 11 AM (3 PM on Sunday) with a $5 daytime cover. From the outside, the club is not much to look at. When you get inside (which will cost you five bucks during daytime), you will eventually see that the inside also is not splurging on furniture or decor, but it doesn't matter, because it's too dark to see.
The main room is dominated by a stage, elevated a few inches above floor level. About 20 seats are separated from the stage by a three foot high barrier. Even though eighteen of these are usually empty, there is always someone dancing on the stage. (Three songs, one topless and one nude). Benches, seating another 15-20, line the side walls. The small bar at one end of the room is generally full of guys who I assume are regular customers, and women who I assume are their regular dancers.
They'll eventually end up at the lap dance section at the other end of the club. This area is furnished with slightly larger benches than the main room, separated from each other by shoulder-high partitions, which provide no real privacy. This area used to have two signs on the wall: “No touching” and “$30”. The “$30” sign is still there.
