And Now For Something Completely Different...
On my recent trip to SoCal, my rental car and I were headed from COI to San Diego (and parts south), and I made it a point to check out one of the Vietnamese coffee shops along the way. I’ve been to hundreds of strip clubs, but the whole concept of this type of place was new to me, as I have only read about it here on TUSCL.
Café 168 is in a little shopping plaza in a strip of other everyday normal businesses like a dentist, a barber, a smoke shop, Fish World, a tattoo parlor, a pawn shop, a massage spa – and an O’Reilly’s auto parts store. Treating this write-up like a strip club review, I’ll say that parking was free in a paved lot, there was no cover, no ID check, and no security pat-down. I was there on a Thursday morning from 10:00-11:15.
The café itself is one large open room, with closely spaced two- and four-top tables that would probably seat a total of 100 people. The lighting is what you would see in any regular restaurant, and some kind of innocuous pop music was playing in the background.
