G Spot Hits the Spot

I had some business to attend to in Cleveland, so of course I had to make return visits to some of Akron’s pleasure palaces while I was in the area.

This review will be one of three I will submit – for Old Glory Days, G Spot, and Absolute Lounge. I will start with a description of the things all three have in common (that part will be long, and the same for all three), then I’ll follow that with some particulars about each club. Note that over the years, most of my visits to these three clubs, including my most recent, have been during the afternoon.

OVERVIEW: I have been to more that 350 clubs all over North America, from the glitziest to the grittiest. These three are among the grittiest pretty much anywhere, but certainly in Akron. They are small dives that most would classify as bars with strippers. Free parking in small lots or on the street nearby, no cover charge, no ID check, no security to speak of. Music is from a dollar-fed juke box. Patrons are a mix of black and white, as are the girls who work there.
