I stopped in on a Friday...

I stopped in on a Friday evening a few weeks ago to take a break from a long drive to Nashville. Gold Club is right off the highway (and right next to an adult bookstore). The room is big, and I arrived just after the shift change at 6PM to see a lot of dancers (probably 20) and not a lot of patrons. A few dancers came up and got friendly right away - they'll sit right down on your lap and give you a hug - but I needed a few minutes to get my bearings after eight hours of driving. I waited for some stage dances, but perhaps because of the shift change, there were only two or three girls on stage in the first half hour. There was, however, a kind of honky-tonk sing-a-long, which made the place feel like a small neighborhood joint.

Things started to pick up on the stage, but none of the dancers really caught my eye until a petite African-American lady by the name of Dylan got on stage. She was hot, and when she got off the stage, she came to sit with me and made a very persuasive case for a lap dance: 1 for $25 or 2 for $40. I took the second option and she led me to one of several small and secluded couch rooms off the main room. I did not regret my decision; in fact, I wish I could go back now! Later, a tall and thin brunette named Berlin (who said she models in auto magazines) gave me two dances which were very good as well.

As far as the dancers go, I've been to better clubs, but the atmosphere - and the laps - can't be beat.
