I hadn't been to this club...

I hadn't been to this club in a couple of years. Since Platinum closed, I assumed that the Pony and Christie's would be the hot spots. I went to the Pony during the late afternoon this past week. The club was pretty dead, with about an even number of dancers and customers. When I walked in there was nobody dancing and it took a fair amount of time before they had a dancer. I had expected to see a whole bunch of the Platinum day shift at the club, but it really wasn't that crowded.

Having said that, I was immediately approached by two pretty women who wanted to work me right away for a dance with both of them. As they seemed to be the best looking women there, I talked for a while and got dances from them both, separately. The crackdown in Memphis has definitely had an effect. Both of these girls were apparently long time Platinum dancers, but they were very "chaste" as dancers go. Decent, but not super great contact, no extras (that's ok with me), and clothes covering everthing except the breasts. The girls were fine, and I ended up getting another dance a little later from another woman, who was also pretty. The drill was the same, however. I normally don't like the 'hard sell,' but these girls could have extracted more money out of me simply by asking, which they didn't seem too inclined to do.

I can only conclude that, for better or worse, the crackdown in Memphis has done what it was intended to do -- cut back on explicit displays by the girls, and "extras."
