Saturday Closing Time

Was back in South Florida for the weekend so checked in on Pompano. I rolled into the parking lot about 12:45 AM on a Saturday. My first time starting here so late. I realize now that I prefer Cheetah around 10-midnight. Near closing time at any club is a bit of a race for the exits. Some other club might have a lot of energy at 1:00 AM but Cheetah's doesn't have much of a tip-at-the-stage scene. Most mongers are back in a VIP by now. Which doesn't leave a whole lot going on in the main room.

The layout has been reviewed many times. In brief: 1 main stage (2 poles), a side bar with 1 pole dancer in front of it, a main bar with 1 pole dancer inside of it (too far to tip), and a fourth side stage with 1 pole dancer near VIP. I prefer the low chairs for dances but table service can be spotty if you didn't reserve a spot and order a bottle. Seated at the bar, I recommend the side closest to the main stage. Many dancers congregate in that corner and all dancers pass through there coming back from VIP. So it's a good place to catch their eye.

Bar service was great. My shot and a beer came in at $17. In the year of our Trump 2025 this is basically what I would pay at any bar nearby: Make my Drinks Cheap Again.
