No longer degrading, still efficacious, and now even on Sunday

A few months ago I described Mickey's as where I go when I need a degrading experience, hardly a recommendation. With the new management it's still a dive-bar kind of place, but somehow I am unable to stay away -- and not just for self-flagellation.

The layout is mostly the same as before the management change -- there's still a long bar that acts as a runway for the girls to crawl along, getting tips for showing their assets, a pool table, a large, clean men's room, and lots of extra space, hopefully for all the girls and customers that will eventually hang. There is the welcome addition of two large TVs over the bar, allowing me to happily waste time watching the Celtics game. They are slowly upgrading the seating, already finished in the lap dance rooms and just begun in the rest of the facility.

Mickey's is now open on Sundays, so the only day off is Monday. I've met three bartenders so far, all are friendly, quick-witted, efficient, and pretty. Drinks are reasonable -- my wine was $6 and my coke was $3. I'm told that soon there will be food in addition to drinks.
