I'd hate to adversely impact the dancers by bringing down the rating average; unfortunately, the club itself warranted such a low rating. I have never had such poor treatment in any club I have ever visited.

First, let me acknowledge that the girls were a mix for every taste--thin, average, large; latin, medium, dark, etc. This is a black club (I am not). My [girl]friend (not "girlfriend") and I chose a smiling, well-spoken, studious, larger dancer who was visiting from Atlanta (after waiting 30 minutes and ultimately chasing the waitress down for a drink). We entered the dance area, which was filled with dingy, ripped, unsanitary looking couches. The bouncer (who never entered the dance area when others went back for their dances) stood at the doorway staring at us for the five dances we received. My friend, who is an ex-dancer, did not object to this "watching" practice, but also noted that this was his first venture back to the area so it was intended to send an "unwelcome" message to me. I always tip very well, usually 50% of the dance total, so as expected, the dancer sat and talked with us for a while after completing the dances. She asked if we would return and I wished her luck but told her that I was unimpressed with the club itself, particularly for the high cover. She inquired how much I had paid. I told her $10 for my entry and $40 for my friend's entry. With an extreme air of shock, she asked why I had paid so much. I told her the doorman imformed me that due to the problems they experience with female customers, $50 entry fee was required for my friend, but that he extended a "deal" for $40. She laughed (so did the bouncer)! She said that was "bull****"!

I couldn't believe this happened. But to top it all off, as we were leaving, the doorman had the audacity to request a tip for "watching my car!" Completely appaulled, I told him I knew he had cheated me on the entry fee and I should demand a refund from the manager. He laughed, turned back around, and began joking with his small crowd of friends. I turned and left and I will never return again.
