Had a rough week at work so I decided to switch it up and take a train into Queens to try Gallaghers 2000. I had read about it on this website and some others and it sounded like good value for your money so I figured I'd give it a try. First off, the place is huge. You walk in to a small room and are frisked by a bouncer and greeted by a woman who takes your cover fee ($10 at the time I went) and your coat. You then go through another set of doors and are immediately in a large room with a pretty big bar and stage on the left and a bunch of empty space on the right. The private rooms are in the back (more on that later). There were about 20-25 women working on a Friday night and maybe half of that in terms of customers. They go up on stage for a few songs in groups of 3 and then make their rounds to collect tips. The only place I've ever seen anyone sit at is the main bar/stage area on the left hand side of the room. Drink prices were pretty normal for the area ($8-10 for a beer) and I believe you can get lap dances for $30 per song. The real value in this place comes from the private rooms. It is $100 for 15 minutes or $200 for 30 minutes. I would say that out of the 25 girls, about 3-5 were very very attractive, maybe 10-12 were decent looking, and the rest I probably wouldn't want a dance from even if it was free.
