Still plenty of show

Checked out Show N Tel for the first time since the building went up for sale, and it was meh. Feels like things have died down a lot since my last visit.

For the background: the club is on Delaware Ave, between Club Risque and Penns Port Pub. Large warehouse building that is now for sale. They are open Thurs - Sun at 10PM, and stay open as late as 5am on Friday and Saturday nights. The door is on a little dead end on the side of the building. You go thru a metal detector and pay the $25 cover. There is also an adult store, which seemed to confuse a lot of people - they kept coming in through the adult store and then getting redirected to go out and back around the main club door.

The last time I visited the large room was open, which has something like 3 poles across the stage, a bunch of couch dance cubbies, and a generous bar. This night, that was not open. Instead, it was just the smaller, roughly oval shaped bar with a smaller stage with two poles in the middle. I got there around midnight and it was DEAD. a few dancers milling around, but nobody on the floor. I asked how long it'd be and they assured me someone would be dancing soon.
