Yup, Still the Hi-Liter (for Good and Bad)
Early Friday afternoon. Club nominally opens at 11, but in reality 11-12 is the drop off time for all the Cuban dancers and few customers are in the place yet. As always no cover in the afternoon, 2-for-1 well drinks until 7 PM, Cokes are $4 + tip. A bonus to coming early is the DJ is not always in the house, and whatever Spotify channel they use for music you get near full run times if you do decide to go to VIP with a dancer.
Floor dances are $10/each, and $30/each in VIP. I was getting a dance along the wall when I noticed Nate, one of the doormen/bouncers, staring in my e=general direction. The PL sitting next to me was getting a little handsy with his dancer (nothing crazy), so I made to keep my hands in plain view on my dancer's back. Nate comes over to the guy and says, "No touching boobs on the floor! That's what VIP is for," so pay attention to that while there. Most of the other bouncers are quite as strict as he is (at least during the day).
Still, good mileage to be had, and an average tableside lap at Hi-Liter is equivalent to a good VIP lap at Bourbon Street at half the price. The VIP area is definitely a YMMV situation, but I have plenty of dancers who are complete GFE-types and are absolutely worth the price of admission. Trial and error. If she doesn't give you what you're looking for, one and done, don't settle for less (while still respecting her boundaries). If you have a keeper and don't want to be interrupted, the VIP slots to the right are $250 for 30 minutes, with $50 paid up front, the rest to the dancer )plus tip). This is great if you don't want to deal with people climbing over you or spilling drinks, etc. and you want a bit more privacy. I don't do this option often, but it does afford a bit more privacy than the standard VIP.
