Return to KitKat but missed the afterparty
My second time here as an out of towner and I have more info so I feel it warranted sharing.
I was in Portland a few months back for Rose City Comic Con, and was in town solo this time. Looking online for something to do, I saw that KitKat was having what they advertised as RCCC after parties each night during the weekend of the con. I thought that sounded fun, so I went. Now, their Facebook page said the specifically themed afterparty performances would start at 9 and go until close. I got there at around 10:30, and it had already ended even though they close at 2. Bouncer will pat you down on the way in, check ID to make sure you’re of legal age, and tell you that the dancers can touch you but you can’t touch them. Bouncer is also friendly, and if you need to step outside to make a phone call they make sure homeless people or anyone else outside don’t get near you. Crowd wise, it was dead. Like aside from staff there was me, somebody at the slot machines, and one table of three people. I’m not sure if this is typical or what, and I hope not, but it was disappointing to see the place so empty on a Saturday night. It also made it difficult to sit at the stage, since when you’re the only person there you get all the attention which is fine except for the fact that it turns into a money sink pretty quickly.
I saw them advertising a marionberry cider which I always appreciate finding in Portland since my previous visit to the city, so I tried that. It was good, and cost $7. I was approached by a friendly and beautiful young woman for a dance, and I decided what the hell. I paid $60, and the dance was great. No extras implied (which I don’t do anyhow) and grinding was a bit minimal, but she was so good at the performance I didn’t even care. Dances are fully nude, and she moaned in my ear and breathed on my neck several times as well which was really sexy. She asked if I wanted to do a $200 for 15 minute dance, but I politely declined as when I’m going to a strip club, gaming arcade, or casino, I set my budget ahead of time and bring exactly that amount of cash (I don’t even bring a credit or debit card) because I don’t want to spend more than I plan. She was super understanding and didn’t mind at all, and gave me the whole “thanks, hope you come back again some time” customer service schpiel. After the dance, a couple rounds of the marionberry drinks, tipping the restroom attendant, and money I spent at the stage I was close to my budget and I did wanna save a few bucks to stop at Voodoo donuts which is right next door so I left.
