Made a trip back to Sapphire's last time I was in Vegas. I have to say, it seems to have gone downhill a bit. It is still easily one of my top ten favorite clubs but they aren't doing everything quite as perfectly as previously.

We stopped by abour 1 am on a Saturday night, after catching the late show of Blue Man Group. It was packed but not ridiculously packed. I don't know if that was due to the time of year (early February) or the spiffy new $40 cover. *ouch* I really had thought the $30 hike was the end of the pointlessly ridiculously rate hikes. Especially for people who drove themselves. Still, what are you gonna do?

I asked the bouncer for a seat and he led me over to one of those tables next to the speakers UNDER the overhead stage.I don't know if there are worse seats but I couldn't SEE any. I guess a $10 tip doesn't buy what it used to. Well, I scoped out some alternate seats that at least had a view of the stage and moved over. The new seats were not REAL comfortable. They have these little tables surrounded by chairs on wheels. They are packed in a bit tight so when the club is full, you are constantly jockeying for space for your chair...their orderly arrangement loses focus when most seats are occupied. I am sure it looks great in an empty club but it is very uncomfortable in actuality.
