Not impressed, would not go back
I recently visited Sapphire in NYC, eager to experience a different kind of nightlife in the city. Having already been to Rick’s a few times, I thought it was time to try a new venue. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for, and I found myself rather disappointed by several aspects of the visit.
To start, the atmosphere was much like any upscale club you’d expect in a big city—bright lights, loud music, and an overwhelming sense of commercialism. The venue itself was alright I suppose, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype. One of the biggest letdowns was the interaction with the dancers. I’ve been to my fair share of clubs, and I get that the nature of these establishments involves a lot of negotiation and bartering, but at Sapphire, it felt excessive. The girls were far too focused on trying to upsell lap dances, which felt more like a business transaction than an enjoyable experience. The lap dances themselves were underwhelming, to say the least—nothing that would make me want to splurge for an upgrade.
The upstairs rooms were certainly upscale, with a clean and sleek ambiance, but the price tags were eye-watering. For what you get, I felt the rooms were way too overpriced, considering that the overall experience just didn’t match the luxury they were promising. I’m no stranger to pricey strip clubs, but Sapphire made me feel like I wasn’t getting nearly enough bang for my buck.
