$5 dances, but still not worth it.

Dropped by Pin Ups late in the afternoon (arrived around 4:30). Parking was free, and after a cursory patdown I paid $10 cover to enter. Since I had heard them advertising a few times on a local station, I assumed that they must do a significant amount of business to throw off enough money to spend on commercials, but it was dead when I dropped by - perhaps they have a ton of folks late in the evenings.

VENUE:

The place was grungy. Hightop chairs and tables were wobbly, the few couches scattered around the stage in the center of the place were worn. I sat in the "VIP" area to the left as you walk in - I had missed the large sign when I walked into that space, and then misunderstood the attendant when he came over to me while I was getting dances, thinking that he was indicating that dances there cost $10, when in fact he had been just letting me know that being the area cost $10.
